Our story
PostingPal didn't start as a product. It started as a problem we were living with at home.
We're Ali, a Foreign Service IT professional, and Justyna, a UX designer and product owner. Two full-time careers, two young kids, and a cross-posting on the horizon — which meant the same mountain every relocating family faces: everything we own had to be inventoried, categorized, sorted into sea shipment, air shipment and long-term storage, and photographed in case an insurance claim was needed on arrival.
The quiet time it takes to do that properly doesn't exist in a house with two kids. Night after night, looking at rooms full of stuff, we kept saying the same sentence: "there has to be a tool for this." There wasn't. Not one that understood the posting cycle. Not one we trusted with what's actually in our closets.
So we built it. Ali on the engineering and the Foreign Service realities. Justyna on making sure every screen makes sense when you have thirty seconds between two parenting tasks. We're using it right now to prepare for our own posting.
