The "Needs attention" chip
Above the inventory list, an amber chip shows a live count of items missing a photo (for entries valued over $200) or missing a price. Tap it to view only those items so you can finish them off before a claim or a move. Tap it again to clear the filter.
Skipping the photo for one item
If you can't photograph an item (already packed, receipt instead, not worth it), tap Skip this item in the photo list and pick a reason. It leaves the count, and you can find it again under skipped to undo it. The reminder comes back if the item's value rises by more than 25%.
Pre-flight check before filing a claim
When you start an insurance claim, an amber banner appears if any of the selected items are missing a photo or an original price. Items whose photo was skipped aren't flagged; the final check shows their reason instead. The banner offers a one-tap "Fix now →" link straight to the filtered inventory. Catch the gaps here and the PDF that reaches your insurer has no obvious holes.
What still counts as "claimable"
You can absolutely submit a claim with a few gaps — many real-world claims succeed at 60–80% readiness. The chip and banner are a polish step, not a gate.
