Generating the insurance-claim PDF (Plus)

Plus feature: a polished, submission-ready PDF with photo, description, category, value, and total.

How to generate

Open Reports → Insurance-claim PDF and tap Generate. The PDF builds in 10–30 seconds depending on the size of your inventory. When ready, it downloads automatically and is also saved to Reports → History for 30 days.

What's inside

  • A cover page with your name, household total, item count, and date.
  • One row per item: thumbnail photo, description, category, estimated value, date added, shipping tag.
  • An overall replacement-value total in CAD.
  • A bilingual header so insurers in either language can read it.

Tips for a clean submission

  • Mark damaged or missing items with the shipping tag they had at the time of loss, not their current state.
  • Run Audit prices before generating to catch obviously wrong values.
  • For high-value items, attach a separate appraisal PDF — the claim pack supplements appraisals, it does not replace them.

If generation fails

Most failures come from broken or oversize photos. Open the inventory and look for items flagged with a red dot. Replace those photos and retry.
